I vote for Option 3. It is really a progression from Option 1 anyway, as the general (& stated) desire of the community is to have proper Management & Promotional teams in place, as well as the already existing Development team, similar to (or an enhanced version of) what was in place during the SME7 development stages when Gordon Rowell was at the helm.
It's just that no-one took up the jobs "on offer" at the elections held a few years ago, so Option 3 is now a positive attempt to progress SME server, under the banner of the Koozali Foundation.
