I don't run x86_64 in production, I run x86_32 on bot platforms. I've 
built Sendmail dkim-milter from an FC6 srpm on RHEL5 x86_64 for the 
poster Andy as proof of concept, but it's now up to him to try out my 
srpm and report back.

I can see no reason whatsoever that the 64-bit Intel/AMD version should 
not run just as well as the 32-bit version, there is nothing 
particularly special about it that should mark it as apart.
