Hi,

Can changes to header folding affect verification? I have a situation in
which an e-mail sent to a single individual verifies fine. That same
e-mail with a multi-line "To:" field fails.

I'll give an example. Presumably, the mbox "sent" mail file contains the
message sent to the MTA. That looks similar to this:

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED],
  [EMAIL PROTECTED],
  [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The received message (in which verification failed) is folded differently:

To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED],
        [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I haven't investigated further, but I presume that the MTA (sendmail, in
this case) is making a change to "clean up" the folding from the MUA
(Thunderbird).

Is it possible for verification to fail due to the change in folding? Or
should I look elsewhere for the source of the problem?

Thanks!!

Regards,

Erik.
