So are you heavy hitters in agreement that some pain in the short run to fix a chronic problem? If so are there other areas where with some control of ego and honest, not smarter than thought posturing, I bet that some rough common ground could be found. Once you take a painful stand against places where broken is tolerated as a fix, then it becomes easier to find other areas of common interest. Yes, eventually you run into the brick wall but then you know these are the real issues, the hills I’m ready to die on. If not yet, then time for more common ground. I think part of the philosophy should be accepting short term pain and some strife in exchange for moving toward good. Yes, good. Perfect is beyond the known horizon . N |
