Hi Axion,

Welcome to the list. I think you are probably refering to
loops that are often used. These can be made: once you have
made your basic beat, add other elements like fast
tambourines, and ride cymbals. You should also put these
further down in the mix from your main elements. The
velocities should be played around with within this to give
the percussive element more drive. Then add "ghost" notes
(lower velocity) on the snares on some of the off beats.
The more you listen to tunes, the more you'll figure where
they are. The other option is sampling other peoples loops
to stack up with your sounds. Again dont have these too
high in te mix, and eq them to work along side your sounds.
As some of the other people have mentioned, it's worth
gettingg as many sanre and kick samples as possible.

hi there, ive just joined the list.
Im from Buenos Aires Argentina.

Here goes my question for you experts.

When you try to buil up a break loop (not sample one) just
say with fruity loops or something like that
you put a kick, a snare, and some hi-hats..right..everithing
cool there.
but i will never be able to make that roller ( i dont know
how to call it sound afer the snare and before the first
drum of the next loop
Kinda photek or teebee does.
its a hi hats delay?
or its a sample ?

sorry if i cant explain it better my my english its a little
basic.
PS: wave surgeon full its better than recycle?
thanx
Axion
