Is there a way to boot verbosely from the boot CD? I would try that, though I'm not sure how I'd do that...
In general, though I'm aware that I'm not able to contribute in this area, Solaris 10 could use much better hardware support. I'd love to see an install as painless and fast as Ubuntu Linux.
