No, the hardware is all fine. As I say, I can install Solaris 10 Update 1 just fine. If I try Update 3, or any of the recent Nevada builds I have, it fails before it even hits GRUB. And the error it gives is pretty useless.
I'm thinking of just installing (again) and leaving Update 1 on it, but that doesn't resolve my need for a test system to play with the new bits, and make sure any docs I write are accurate for the new versions.
