Hi Michelle, Excellent work. Here are some detailed comments. They are included in order of going through the document...not in priority order. I know you only wanted feedback on the technical content at this point, but since I am not technical, I am not comfortable commenting on the technical content, so, I will focus more on flow, consistency and such.
Hope they are helpful, T Preparing to Install and Configure.... - There are a couple of typos in the first paragraph. - Right above the first note, where you mention what folks can do if they do not have a DVD drive, maybe you could mention that the materials will be provided on a CD ISO image as well. Also mention that they can get the LiveCDs at the respective websites. - For the first bullet under pre-requisites, I'd suggest changing the order and start with the LiveCD. While the user will need to go to the internet periodically, we'd like to keep that to a minimum. - <i install> and <i learn> should have the brackets around them - First bullet under the "Two Methods to install"...I think you need a link. Backing up the Disk Drive - can't see the graphic? Re-partitioning the Disk Drive - can't see the graphic? - #7 - what if it doesn't match? Is this a possibility? - #9 - is there a recommended size for a Nexenta installation? Do you think we should mention it? Any of the other distros? Installing the OpenSolaris software - chapter headings should be consistent - <i install> - can't see graphic Configuring the OpenSolaris software - chapter heading - incomplete sentence right under Configuring Xorg for NVIDIA on Solaris heading - sentence repeated between 5 and 6 in same section - typo in #3 of To Configure Screen Resolution of New NVIDIA driver - sentence repeated between 5 and 6 in same section Configuring Networking - describes, not describe in first sentence - tab will be Resources, not Online Resources - can it link directly there?
