Hi Rainer, Thanks for these additional comments. I was thinking of publishing a slide show as a PDF using text and graphical content to demonstrate concepts, tips, and procedural information. I think that would meet the requirements you've proposed here, but let me know. I too feel that while voice-over is powerful for teaching, it must be made accessible and be clearly associated with the slide content to avoid confusion.
Also, we could all benefit from your experience with DocBook creation, so if you have more specific information about what made the 'various paths' you tried confusing, please send them along, so we can try to avoid those same pitfalls when we create our instructions.
