Hey Pammie,

I honestly could not say wether you should switch the oil
now with that many miles ,I think I would just keep what you have and change it
every 3000 miles without fail if you keep that oil you are using which is good
oil you should get many more miles out of that car.

          Hi Alvin,
I am sorry I am having troubles with this car too...I have had several since I
bought it. I love everything about it but the problems.
I will not put the long oil filter on although it did sound like a good idea!
I have been putting Castor oil in the car since I got it....would you switch
now at almost 70,000 miles????

thanks alot!!
Pam

Hello Pammie,

I am sorry you're having all these problems with your car I just LOVE mine. Can
you park your car on a level spot overnight if you can raise the hood and check
the oil on the dipstick after the car has been parked overnight, before you
crank it up.Pammie if you do this YOURSELF everyday for about a week and then
once or twice a week thereafter YOU won't have to take anybodies word about
your oil level you'll have the piece of mind of knowing. Also I would stick with
the type oil filter that came on the car if you put a longer one on there is a
chance you could hit something in the road and puncture it causing you to lose
all your oil and then destroy your engine,I would very strongly recommend you
to use a good 100% synthetic oil to eliminate the dreaded Sludge problem that
everyone complains about.I have an 02 with about 114,000 miles and yes its the
2.7 and NO problems ,I change oil and filter every 3000 miles or three months
.I hope this helps you because YOU have a Great
car. About the long filter it hangs down lower than the oil pan so that puts
it and the car in a risky situation .

Alvin
