Hi,
I had a similar problem a number of years ago, and the drive cable broke
in-flight ( not nice ).
The cable broke down at the engine end. It may have been caused by a lack of
lubrication or a tight bend at that point.
I make a point of keeping the lubrication up to that cable now. I also reduced
the radius of the bend at that point (slightly).
I installed an electronic tacho kit( as a backup).

I hope this helps.

Subject: RE: [DOG mailing list] RPM oscilations

Another problem has arisen, the rpm indicator, has begun to large oscillation
especially at low rpm I removed the line and apparently is fine, only the part
that connects to the indicator I found traces of a substance color like black
rubber. Has this happened to someone who can help me?.
I don't now when my old Dimona problems disappear.
