Hi Ian,

If you like, I will call Rick Fisher. I have had dealings with him in the
past (not aircraft related). I had a similar problem here where I thought
the UC rod ends were just the standard ones and bought 4 for about $25 or so
each. However looking further, the actual part number (as provided by
Diamond) was for a High Tensile rod end. (similar to the tailplane attach
one) The HT ones have a small cross on the threaded end but otherwise
identical.

So Rick called Hershmann and yes, they could supply the HT ones. They were
not listed in their catalogue but were available.

I did try to check out the Fin attach rod end but no such luck. So had to
pay big bucks for one thru Hawkers. (There were 2 in the packet but I kept
that quiet).

If you like I will check up again for you specifically for the UC rod ends.
>From memory they were around $125 (NZ) each.

Best regards

Ian Williams

I got zero response to guess six emails. Terrible service. R R Fisher
checked with germany re ball rod ends used in undercart BUT they are no
longer available- discontinued. What next I have no idea.

Has anyone actually managed to find a contact at Diamond /Hawker/elswhere
who can get the 3000 hour process started?
I just constantly get fobbed off to someone else and never get called or
emailed back.

H36 II all have the springs but I think the issue is the canopy jettison
mechanism in h36 original model - I will compare tomorrow They are a good
idea........ Ian M

Hey all!

Is it possible to mount a canopy spring, like those found on the Super
Dimona on the H36?

We just bought a DA20 for our club and those springs really make the
difference.

Thanks!
