Yep, No computer any more. It got to 94%, two minutes left to go and hung.
This was the over the net upgrade. Now the machine won't even boot. I get a display to the effect that the screen size is not recognised that I have seen before when things don't work. When I try to install from a Cd that I created, it cannot find my first hard disk, and wants to install on SCS1 which is my small second data disk. This it sent from on-line access, not the mail client. My only thought is to try and rebuild the machine using kubuntu 10.10. My feeling is that grub is gone.
