So maybe it isn't just me being a novice!
A newcomer to Linux, I bought a new desktop with pre-installed 64 bit
Ubunto 11.04 Unity distro, but several thing have been going wrong
lately and I have resorted to installing Gnome and several other apps
to keep going - but things keep getting steadily worse!
For example, now whenever I insert a USB device, the USB icon
replicates itself all along the top bar and prevents access to any
other function. I have to open the folder I want to use before I
insert the USB device, and I can't move a folder from the desktop into
one in my Home folder - all things that used to work before.
I am getting in a bit of a tangle and it may be 11.04 or me being new
to Linux/Ubuntu. If there are bugs, perhaps I should stop struggling
and ask for advice!
The PC is a very small desktop with 19" screen, and I have a small
combined keyboard and mouse that I can use instead of the normal size.
Can I bring it to the next meeting?
