Unfortunately, the LGs of this world produce the best TVs and the cheap brands don't.
Can anyone answer my fundamental question about what AI does in a TV. If the answer is really that it only adjusts settings, then I might be able to show her that it's not going to access her bank account details or drill into her private data. Please near in mind that these Smart TVs have to have access to the Internet to provide iPlayer, etc, so after recent news that an AI at one of the big players went outside its sandbox and hacked another site doesn't give her any hope.
