** 3. Reporting a hardware issue **

If you cannot make the network or sound function, if your screen is not
correctly set, then you can use the DoudouLinux tool to report a hardware
issue. This tool generates a compressed text file containing a lot of
information about your hardware configuration. We can then use this piece
of information to diagnose your problem remotely. Of course we cannot
guarantee success, but this better than starting from zero! Notes: Please

** How to translate kTuberling sounds -newer version of KDE **

To create a new KTuberling sound theme, you have to do the following:
Record the sounds in OGG Vorbis rc3 file format. Create
yourLanguageTwoLetterCode.soundtheme file, it has to follow this
schema:<language code ="yourLanguageTwoLetterCode"> <sound name
="soundName" file ="relativePath" /> ... </language >
yourLanguageTwoLetterCode is your language two letter code, for example gl
for Galician. For each sound entry soundName should match (...)

** 3. Screen settings **

DoudouLinux is featuring a tool to change the screen resolution and set
which screen is on or off when 2 screens are plugged. Its interface varies
depending on the number of connected screens. Usually on a desktop
computer, there is one connected screen only and you will just be proposed
to set the screen resolution and refreshing rate [1]. On a laptop you may
want to have both the laptop screen and an external screen connected. In

** 4. Меню выбора сессий **

Стартовый экран, который появляется по
окончании загрузки DoudouLinux, называется
меню сессий (см. скриншот ниже). Из этого
меню ребенок может выбрать занятия
различной трудности в зависимости от
своих навыков - от простых обучалок по
работе с мышкой до графического
окружения, в котором представлены все
программы. Это меню можно настроить при
помощи утилиты "Меню сессий". Таким
образом вы можете настроить DoudouLinux под
вашего ребенка если не хотите, чтобы он
видел все сессии, или если хотите
предложить ему сессию, которой нет по

Благодаря Луке и Ларсу, которые недавно
влились в нашу команду, стартовал
перевод диска на итальянский и шведский.
Эти языки будут официально
поддерживаться DoudouLinux начиная со
следующй версии. Скорее всего, наши новые
товарищи не успеют закончить свою работу
до выхода следующей версии. Вот почему мы

Thanks to Luca and Lars who recently joined the team, translation of the CD
into Italian and Swedish was started last week. Italian and Swedish CD’s
will then join the group of officially supported languages for next
release. Of course our new contributors will not have enough time to
