Randy, check your localprefs. A stupid error in mine was causing the problem...

Everything else automatically starts up Avant except DQSD. You name it: start / run www.msn.com, desktop shortcuts, outlook urls, etc - all start up Avant. I've downloaded all the suggested files - set browser, slim browser, made all the changes to the localprefs.js, manually set the associations and even renamed Avant's executable IEXPLORE to AIEXPLORE.EXE. All to no avail - even if it does work for a bit - it cruelly stops on reboot or logoff/logon. Unlike others, I'm not convinced it is a Windows problem - if everything else in Windows correctly fires up Avant - why doesn't dqsd? I won't give up DQSD though - it may fire up the wrong browser but it's much better than anything else I use. If I find anything - I'll pass it on.
