[drakelist] wondering out loud re: DOA MN-2000

So the seller is a straight up guy and offered to take back the DOA unit, pay for shipping and refund my money.  He also offered to pay for a tech to repair it.  My choice.  I’m located in the metro Washington, DC area and I can probably get someone to get the unit operational for me but it would take a while.  Then I could begin the process of cosmetic restoration, if I wished.  The third option would be for me to try to do the repairs, but I’m really not the best technician in any given room.    What do you guys think I ought to do?   ---------------------------------------------- Peter Alterman, Ph.D. Asst.
