Here is my take,
Qualified repair is expensive. There are many tinker
technicians out there including myself that may do it for less, but everyone I
have sent stuff to that I couldn't find the problem myself, has been
pretty much a nightmare. Mostly they don't have the time or don't get to it for
whatever reason. So unless someone here recommends a tech that is very
reasonable and has documented prompt turn around time, send it back and get a
refund.
