You will likely get several opinions on this, but
my first reaction would be to take the seller up on his option to return the
unit for a refund. Parts are mostly "unobtainium" except from other
defective units. In the earlier days, when Drake still had parts, I would
give a different answer, but it is getting extremely rare to find what you need
to adequately repair these units unless it is simply connections, ceramic
standoffs, shaft couplings, etc that some of us might have in our junk
boxes. Switches arced (contacts blown off) are more often what I used to
find, and they were expensive WHEN we could get them, hi. Good luck,
either way you go.
