The biggest issue is the relay in the Pro II.  It handle anywhere near the current that Icom states in the manual.  There is a device out there called the Ampkeyer – an interface between the amp and the radio – this will protect the radio…..  check www.theheathkitshop.com

Hello to the group.  Does anyone see a reason why the Drake L7 Amplifier would not play well with an Icom 756 Pro 2.  Are there issues with keying voltage relays or will I be just fine.

 

Thoughts would be appreciated.
