Well, maybe you guys can tell me what I did wrong. During a routine alignment
of my late model TR-4 I found that when rotating the carrier balance pot it
didn't stop at either end. It also had no effect on the plate current and t-14
had no effect either. Of course I could only guess as to where these two
components were before I moved them, but now when tuning the rig the xmtr gain
control has no effect. The transmitter is getting full drive no matter where
the gain control is set. PS bias is acting normally. I sure hope someone here
has run into this before. The receive improvement is substantial after this
alignment. Thanks.
