Curt: I "feel your pain" on this problem. What I finally did was follow a little paragraph "ditty" in the TR-4C's manual (and Ron Baker's suggestion) and added a small manual "on-off" switch plugged into the mike socket. It works for me. Like you, I found it VERY annoying having the CW/VOX relay "drop-out" practically between characters. W8PSG
