Is it intermittent...? Check your transmit frequency in the "SPOT"
position---if it still sounds rough, suspect the PTO, exactly as what happened
to my T-4X here!
I had TWO bad / cold solder connections to the large fixed silver mica tank
capacitor therein...ended-up simply outright replacing it.
Yes, it COULD be something else---but as Yogi Berra would say, "...Sounds like
deja vu all over again to me!"...
