In the spot position the tone is perfect. only in the tune or transmit
does the AC noise or raspy tone comes in?
Anyone out there have any ideas what I can do before I send the rig out?

Hi Lou,
Is it intermittent...? Check your transmit frequency in the " SPOT "
position---if it still sounds rough, suspect the PTO, exactly as what
happened to my T-4X here!
I had TWO bad / cold solder connections to the large fixed silver mica
tank capacitor therein...ended-up simply outright replacing it.
Yes, it COULD be something else---but as Yogi Berra would say, "...
Sounds like deja vu all over again to me!"...

Subject: [Drakelist] T-4XB problem
I was on the air on CW with my T-4XB when all of a sudden The
transmitted signal started to sound rough? Any idea what the problem
could be?
