We will need to get to the bottom of that eventually (I shall give you a patch to force a longer wait or something similar to try), but not right now since we are really focusing on DMA. I advise you to keep your eyes on dri-devel and dri-patches and keep using an updated CVS, so that if things ever get broken for PowerPC it's more easy to pin-point and fix them.
