Hello Andrew,
the submission are still in the workflow, third step pool, not having
been picked up yet.
They only appear in your MyDspace, if you have submitted them or are
responsible for a workflow step.
As a dspace admin you can see all ongoing workflows.
Log in to the UI as admin
Administer -> Content -> Workflow
On database level you can query the workflowitem table, to see more details.

We've got a few submissions from our University Theses and Dissertation
person that have gone off into this status. Neither myself or my boss can
see them, so we're a little puzzled about where they might be. Haven't been
able to find anything on here, the wiki, etc. They're somewhere on the
server (we found a few) but scattered around DSpace's data folders. The
person who submits these ETDs has all of the appropriate permissions for
these folders.
