Followup to my previous comment.

Mark fixed the second issue (errors in Sword v2).  It was caused by some Sword 
v2 dependencies not having the DSpace License, and therefore not being 
"installed" into local mave properly.

As for the first issue, it actually isn't an issue. The DSpace LNI client 
actually is built separate from DSpace because it is actually not part of 
DSpace by default (it's actually just a sample client that can be used to 
access DSpace LNI server).  So, this was a misunderstanding on my part.
