Mark, it could be that I'm confused (wouldn't be the first time), but the
behavior on trunk is a little odd with Maven 2.2.1 (or did I misunderstand, are
we no longer able to support Maven 2.2.1?).
With Maven 2.2.1, I see the following:
Running 'mvn clean package' from [dspace-src] (root) -> compiles everything
from source, applies overlays, and builds into [dspace-src]/dspace/target/
However, the LNI-Client is built *last* (after the DSpace Assembly project), so
although it is built, it is not included or copied to
[dspace-src]/dspace/target/
Running 'mvn clean package' from [dspace-src]/dspace/ (assembly directory) ->
Errors out, as several SWORD v.2 artifacts cannot be resolved (This may be
cause it has been misconfigured somehow, admittedly).
Again, these are just observations. I'll gladly look into it further, but I'm
still a bit hazy here on what exactly is the *expected* build process based on
the decisions that you & a few other folks have made (and I'd hate to undo
something by accident).
