It does have the switch, but I just don't like having to worry about it not
working, so I usually just plug in an external one as well - just to make
sure...

In general I can usually fiddle around and get it working, but if I have to
boot from CD I hace an apple CD300 - one of the really early single speed
caddy drives - it's slow, but it's probably the most compatible apple cd
drive in existance - I use it as my main drive for LinuxPPC...

I hate SCSI termination, 'cos in the end it's mostly just trial and error
to get it working... Anyway, Lacie drive are problematical at the best of
times - I had to return two CD drives because the motor was dead(it might
have been the case PSU, but I didn't want to lose the warranty...)
