Nope, a Powerbook (or any other kind of) battery's voltage drops as its
discharged - the differential between the poles lessens as the charge
depletes and there's less "force" behind the current. You can watch an
indication of this as read by the Power Manager from a battery-monitoring
app with a voltage display, like MyBattery. The amount of power drawn is
roughly the same (or the computer couldn't continue to operate) so that
presumably means the current (in amps) actually rises as the voltage drops.
The regulated voltage going to the components of the computer (CPU, memory,
hard drive) is kept the same, of course (5V for most everything in a Duo).
I think the Duo's battery output varies between about 14V and 11V as it's
discharged, though I'm not sure of that (I may be thinking of my 2400).
