Hi makmac!

OK, I've tried everything you suggested, but the Duo still shut down when I
unplug the adapter. I've checked the battery connectors in the battery
compartment, and AFAICT, they seem just fine, not bent in anyway.

I also found the service manual for the 200s serie, and they were describing
the Power Manager reset by pressing the back power button for 30-35s. I
tried that, but the Duo wouldn't work on the battery. However, when the Duo
loaded the Finder, the little battery icon in the menubar was kind of blue,
certainly not red or orange. But then, a few seconds later, it started
charging the battery. Finally, I've noticed that there are additional
information in the "Essential PowerBook Strip", in the control strip.
Basically, for "usage", where before, only "00000" would show up, was now
displaying "00514". So, it apparently ran a short period of time off the
battery. I think I will let it recharge overnight and we'll see tomorrow.

-Laurent.
