That is *not* doable.
Apple was able to boot the ANS into MacOS only with some custom
burned ROMs. A stock rom from a 7500 won't do it. There was a rumour
out there once that ROMs from a 9600 would do the trick, but I still
doubt it.
The ROM image is not enough to boot it anyway, you'll still need an
HFS volume with the OS on it too.
The ANS was NOT a mac. Even if you were to get it to run MacOS (and
some flavor of System 7.5 at that) it would not be very functional at
all... the MacOS has no way of handling some very ANS specific
hardware. Basically you would go from a very high-powered RS6000
equivilent to a really crappy and very oversized 80lb. Macintosh that
could not do much beyond boot.
The ANS *will* run the PPC distros of Linux though, so you do have
alternatives beyond AIX 4.1.4, 4.1.4.1, & 4.1.5. Contact me off-list
if you want more info there. I have a few ANS's running linux.
