I doubt I could do anything with a setup other than hurt myself. I
can normal soldering, but nothing micro sized.

Well, from my investigations so far, forget about buying the raw LCD
screens. THe last place I found wanted $250 (!!!) for a 270c LCD.
What a joke.
So, if we can find a PC lapttop that uses the same LCD, it would
probably be cheaper to buy it than a replacement screen from ebay.
MOre PC volume.
Or heck, find a way to use a different LCD. But thats far beyond my
capabilities.
