It is a Digital Multia Alpha workstation that I have configured to
run Red hat Linux 6.2 with ipchains for firewalling, port forwarding
and NAT, and a custom hacked DHCP client. It also has onboard
Ethernet and two PCMCIA slots (one hold a second ethernet card, and
the other will hold a 802.11b card in the near future) Kind of an
overkill, but I've had it for 4 years (since I had a modem) to share
my internet connection with my 8+ computers.

I never liked those cheap hardware/standalone firewlal and routers,
not as configurizable (Ha! I made a Jobs-isim!) as a software router.
