Dear Listers:
I said I would update you regarding my missing Powerbook 2400c.
In contacting FedEx today in the attempt to find about about my Powerbook
2400c which they were to have delivered to DT &T last Tuesday I was told
the following, during numerous transfers and holds:
1. The Powerbook was delivered to DT & T. D T & T is not being honest
with me about receiving it.
2. A FedEx Agent went to place where the package was mistakenly
delivered only to find that the package was missing.
3. The person who signed for the delivery is either missing or does not
exist. The company where is was delivered by mistake claims there is no
employee by the name of the person who signed for the box. FedEX cant be
responsible for dishonest companies and dishonest employees.
4. The package may have mistakenly been delivered to Sony. There is a
large Sony repair center in Fremont and packages are always being
delivered there by mistake. If that is what happened it will take Sony up
to 30 days for Sony to return it.
5. Finally, I was promised by a FedEx "specialist" assigned to my case
that she would located the package and call me back within an hour. When
I called back four hours later I was told that no such person works for
FedEX.
In the mean time the tracking informaion on the FedEx website about my
Powerbook package has changed. This morning the website tracking
reported that the package was delivered to Union City, CA Tuesday
afternoon, now it reports that the package was delivered to Fremont, CA
Tuesday afternoon. Also when I requested, on line, a copy of the
signiture of the person signing for the package the message returned
"information about that tracking number is not available.
This is unreal. How can such a large company be so disorganized and
unprofessional????? Or are they disorganized?
