Good morning, thanks for the clarification, what I'm thinking is to use the
adapter you mentioned and Dave Software to connect to my LAN......is this a
workable solution ?......thanks....JWS.

The printer and modem ports on older macs are not ADB, they're localtalk,
and you need a localtalk to ethernet bridge. I have had two of them,
Dayna's Mini EtherPrint (doesn't work), and Farallon's Ethermac iPrint
Adapter LT (works).
