Why not using an Asante Mini or Micro EN/SC? They will use your SCSI port to
provide an Ethernet connection to your LAN. You can then use DAVE to share
files with the PCs. The Micro EN/SC will use your ADB port (the one where
you can connect a keyboard or a mouse) for power, while the Mini EN/SC uses
an external adapter. The Micro is also much smaller than the Mini. It seems
that the LocalTalk to Ethernet bridge would be a much more expensive
solution. I've got a brand new Micro EN/SC for a mere $10 on eBay...
