I had a Mac SE in New York City, and once I recall the lights went out for
nearly two seconds, and the little guy came right back! Really impressed me
at the time. That one event sold me on Apple quality. That and the fact that
Apple equips all their prodicts with universal 'switching' power supplies
that can be used anywhere in the world by just changing the cord.
