One more thing: Audi was founded in 1910 by the famous August Horch who had
withdrawn from his August Horch Motorenfabrik after a conflict with the
supervisory board. Having lost a lawsuit over the use of "Horch" as a brand
name, he decided to translate his name into Latin: Horch! (Listen!) = Audi.
They even had advertisement then with the slogan "Horch, ein Audi kommt!"
(Listen, there is an Audi coming!). Under the impact of the economic crisis
Horch, Audi, DKW and Wanderer united to form Auto Union in 1932 (hence the
four rings), at the time the second largest automobile company in Germany
(0pel being number one).
