Don't even think of trying to do it on the fly unless you are using
12V and can supply 1.5A for a reasonable time, with a 9V battery the
PB would crash instantly.
It would be cheaper and simpler to just replace the PRAM battery.
Ben.
NB I don't think that this would extend the PRAM battery life much as
you are going via the DC controller board and your 9V battery would
probably be flat within the hour.
