I think the quoted article was misleading; the 240 has more of a heat
problem than the 180, not less.  Before I got a Newer G3 upgrade, I had
obtained a 603e 240 CPU card for my 2400/180.  The heat related enhancement
in the 2400/240 was a spring between the heatsink and case to press the
heatsink onto the CPU with greater force.  Even though I  successfully
constructed a substitute for the spring, my 2400 ran at a substantially
elevated temperature with the 240.  (The Newer 240/1M G3 card is hotter
still, though not by a lot.)
