Well, the GV Mercury 19.2 kbps is the fastest modem available for duo
line. It has great fax software, but you will still have a pokey modem
:). My 280c has the 19.2 modem, and I don't have problem surfing the net
with it. But when it comes to downloading a file, I'd use external modem
or my other powerbook with faster PCMCIA modem.
