Yep. I know what you mean. Unfortunately, Qt Designer rarely does what I
want it to, so there is little chance that I will be able to improve the
 appearance.

Still better than truncated labels. On the other hand, I have to agree:
too much information can be almost as bad as no information at all.

Which isn't as important, in my opinion.

If it were just a static display of the length, I would agree with that.
But since the values change when you move the slider, I don't.

Another option would be to re-arrange the labels. Currently, the
timestamps are displayed together, as are the frame numbers. And
depending on the width of the video, there is a more or less huge gap
between them. But we could also display them this way:

        00:00:00.000            00:00:00.000
        0                       0 (I)

The advantage is that you can concentrate on a single point and still
get all relevant information - either for the input or for the output,
depending on where you look. Ideal for people with tunnel vision ;-)

Besides that, the output related labels could use gray instead of black
text, or a smaller font, or both. They're less important, after all.
