I know what you mean. Unfortunately, Qt Designer rarely does what I want it to, so there is little chance that I will be able to improve the appearance. >>but at least you get all the information you want. > > Far too much in my opinion... Still better than truncated labels. On the other hand, I have to agree: too much information can be almost as bad as no information at all. >>And the window didn't become much bigger, so... > > > With my last suggestion it also won't become bigger (ok a little less space > for the markers). If it were just a static display of the length, I would agree with that. But since the values change when you move the slider, I don't. > On the other hand the input timestamp and frame number belongs to the linear > slider and ther should be no other numbers inbetween... > > Maybe its possible to put the time&number in one line below the list with > some > smaller font or if this is not possible in 2 lines just like in the info box > below the single marker labels... Another option would be to re-arrange the labels. Currently, the timestamps are displayed together, as are the frame numbers. And depending on the width of the video, there is a more or less huge gap between them. But we could also display them this way: 00:00:00.000 00:00:00.000 0 0 (I) The advantage is that you can concentrate on a single point and still get all relevant information - either for the input or for the output, depending on where you look. Ideal for people with tunnel vision ;-) Besides that, the output related labels could use gray instead of black text, or a smaller font, or both. They're less important, after all.
