Hi Paul, Well, my logic may be flawed but I am thinking if I use a node close to me and filter it so I only receive spots from other W (USA) stations I will only receive spots that are useful to me. Yes, I could use an East Coast node with the same filters but am not sure if the same spots made by W6 and W7 stations closer to me will flow to that node. I am thinking if a station is logged into the same node as I am and makes a spot useful to me I will see it right away. But then my logic goes back to the days when PACKET was done on VHF links and your range was limited by your VHF antenna so I may be outdated. ______________________________________ Alan Zack Amateur Radio Station K7ACZ Official USCG Auxiliary Comm Station Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
