I do not think it makes any difference which node one connects to. They are all linked using the arc cluster software. Just do a sh/node and you can see this. Yes you can go into each node or the node of your choice and set up a filter for your station and pass W, K, or strickly the 5 or 6 callsign zones. I live in North Carolina and I use the k8smc in michigan and the w4to node in tennessee and I receive the same spots on the both of them without setting up a filter verifying the nodes are all connected.
