Hello, I've just installed a dual serial port card into my PC however despite all my efforts to remove the previously installed virtual USB ports the software insisted on creating them as Com 9 and 10. Windows insists com 2 - 8 are in use (only com 1 and 8 actually are) so reasigning the ports doesn't work.
Now for the question Dx4Win only shows com 1 - 8 or at least it does in my setup so how do I get it to show com9 and 10 in the drop down list box so I can select them? Do I add them to portmap or is this only for parallel ports? I realise a drop down list box that actually lists the installed ports in the PC would be too simple.
