Folks, speaking of adding serial ports, I have an extra byterunner 8 ports serial board that plugs in the computer and adds 8 more serial ports to your computer so you can control radios, rotors, TNCs, etc. This board currently sells for $150 , http://www.byterunner.com/byterunner/product_name=PCI-800H-9/user-id=/passwo rd=/exchange=/exact_match=exact , but I will take $100 for it. Its absolutely like new with all the cables and software that comes with it. I used this with DX4WIN to control one of my stations and it works flawlessly. Windows insists com 2 - 8 are in use (only com 1 and 8 actually are) so reasigning the ports doesn't work. Now for the question Dx4Win only shows com 1 - 8 or at least it does in my setup so how do I get it to show com9 and 10 in the drop down list box so I can select them? Do I add them to portmap or is this only for parallel ports? I realise a drop down list box that actually lists the installed ports in the PC would be too simple.
