They will show up in the control panel and the port number can be changed there to any other unused number so you can probably with a little fiddling around get them all in sequence without skips. i.e. COM1,2,3,4 in a row. If you have ever done this sort of thing in W98 you will come to like XP real quick.

The additional ports are labled serial 8 through 11. How can I identify the extra serial ports so I can assign them in DX4Win to rig control, Rigblaster and MMTTY? I really don't want to plug serial ports in willy-nilly because I fear breaking something. I have a break-out box and may try jumpering serial pins 2 and 3 to see if any lights blink but I'm hoping for another method. Please help, _ really need Glorioso!
