Hi Chuck, The router version I have is v.2.1.5 with WinKey v.10. The Keyer has power and is working fine as either a standalone or with another logging program I have been testing it with. After I configure DXBase and initialize the port I get a message "Unable to open <K1EL CW> comport. This feature will be turned off." Also, the micro Keyer stops working until I power the keyer/interface down and restart it.
On the microHAM reflector there is mention that DXBase may have a problem with the new version 10 of WinKey. Please understand, I am not pointing a finger at anyone, I am just trying to understand the problem. After all, the problem might be me and then I would have to pull a foot out of my mouth. <grin> If anyone, including the good folks at Scientific Solutions can shed light on this mystery please jump in. 73, Eric - VE3GSI. -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Guenther Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase 2006 + WinKey via micro KEYER Eric, I'm using DXBase 2006 with the microHam keyer with the latest (V. 2.0) router software and firmware upgrades. I believe my keyer has the v. 9 K1EL keyer chip in it. Works great with the Omni 6 here for CW. I wonder if you have external power (13.8V) hooked up to your microKeyer? 73, Chuck NI0C
